  • Elizabeth Rae rests next to her husband, George Rae in Portland's magnificent 'Rae Room' tomb at Wilhelm's Portland Memorial mausoleum. Elizabeth's maiden name was Maxwell and before her marriage to George, Elizabeth's prior married name was Miller. Here's a ring gifted from Elizabeth to her sister Celia Dubbs, bearing the inscription 'E.M to C.D.' A family member noted that Celia didn't receive a wedding band from her husband, so Elizabeth provided this one. This precious ring remains in the hands of Elizabeth Rae's family. #oregon #portland #history #jewelery #mausoleum
