  • George Rae is the man who rests in Portland's magnificent Rae tomb. Born in 1843 at Ellon, Scotland, George Rae journeyed to the United States as a young man in 1869, eventually becoming a US citizen. While researching 'Whispers From The Tomb,' the author gained many helpful insights during his visit to Rae's native land. This included a tour at the Ellon churchyard cemetery where his parents, John & Isabella Rae rest. Here's one brief narrated video from that trip. #biography #oregon #history #scotland #portland #cemetery
